Do any of you use stainless steel welding filler rod for your grip pins? I know it is available in 300 series and assume it is in 400 as well.
Thanks for looking.

Don't use stainless welding rod for handle material. It is usually 309 and is a poor stainless. The surface oxides on the rod will cause corrosion. Any steel service center should have 304 or 303 that is affordable.

Tyshoots; thanks for the reply. I wondered if the had it in the 400 series similar to 416, do you have any experience with that. Otherwise I will look for the 304 303 series.
Best to you.
