I've been a member for a while, but this is my first time posting an item up for sale on BladeForums. I hope you like what you see.

Price: $65 (SOLD!) Thanks for checking it out.

Available to purchase through my etsy site here:

My goal is a good looking knife that practical, affordable, and well made. This isn't a show piece, it isn't polished or finished to perfection. You can zoom in and see there are scratches and stains. This knife is designed to be used and hold up for a long time. It is near razor sharp, sharpened at a ten degree angle. This is a knife you shouldn't be afraid to get dirty and throw in the toolbox, tackle box, backpack, or glove compartment.

To stand up to outdoor use the scales are decay resistant tropical hardwood, the metal is stainless with aluminum bolsters. The Ebony scales are held in place with West Systems marine epoxy: the stainless handle was properly etched with lab grade hydrochloric acid, the aluminum bolsters were treated with brand compatible cleaner and etcher, the glue facing side of the wood was cleaned with acetone to dissolve the tropical oils that would inhibit proper bonding.

The sheath is leather, and treated with an acrylic coating. It is held together with machine pressed grommets, and hand hammered rivets. I tried to leave thru-hole grommets at strategic locations so the handle can be secured in the sheath with paracord.

I make hand forged knives, but this isn't one of them. The blade steel is 420 stainless, and was purchased as a blank. The dominant property of the blade steel is corrosion resistance. At 0.26 %, the carbon content is a tenth-point higher than the minimum spec for AISI 420. I've used this composition steel in the shop, and it holds an edge fairly well, and isn't too hard to sharpen. I can include an assayers report with purchase, it has metal content but not Rockwell hardness. If you don't mind covering the postage, I will sharpen these any time you like.

weight: 264 grams
overall length: 11-1/2"
blade length: 6-1/4"
blade width: 1-7/8" tapers to 7/8"
blade thickness: 1/8"

You can pay with Visa or PayPal through etsy. Shipping and return polices listed on there are all current.
