Stains on a blade

When i finish chopping with a knife, theres always stains on a the blade when i wash it with water they come right back? Anyone know how to get ride of it/stop them?

Do you have any pics of the stains? is it like little spots?if it is, that may be rust, after washing, dry them on a rack.
