these are both work knives (solid, compact, precisely made) and collector's pieces, as you can see for yourself.

blades are forged by finnish smith antti makinen in 0.7C tool steel (equivalent to 1070) - tempered to about 59Hrc.
dimensions: 4" x 0.2" x 0.8"

handles are made in ebony and brass, 4.5" long.

sheaths are sewn and wet formed from a single piece of 0.16" vegetable tanned leather, impregnated by beeswax.

a few words about the knives:
I often draw my inspiration from nature, and these are no different.
beside a slim and compact design, organic texturing allows me to create knives which are quite unique - a fusion of functionality and art.
every line, dot and dimple are hand filed, carved, cleaned and polished.
brass is textured (spider web pattern) and aged.

sheath covers most of the knife, protecting both the user and the tool. knife snaps into place. sheaths are of my original design.

Those are masterpieces. Truly. I wish I have skills to make something like that.

For me it is strange that anyone would think that no one appreciates these RedbeardRum's knives :D OF COURSE WE DO - we are just stunned into speechless :D. They are exquisite and evoke images of knives I see in my dreams. Art and function in one perfect package. :thumbup:

I think we're all a bit anxious to see what happens next so people are a bit more careful and cautious with their money.
I believe earth will keep spinning the way it did before, those who can change things seldom do so as they're fine the way it is.
changes, especially profound, fast and waking are not desirable.
