I finished this one a couple of days ago.
blade is forged by finnish smith antti makinen in 0.7C tool steel (equivalent to 1070) - tempered to about 59Hrc.
dimensions: 4" x 0.2" x 0.8"
tang is peened over the countersunk boxwood washer.
I made the handle in wild pear wood.
bolster is filed and carved from a single piece of brass, textured and aged.
inlays are made from warthog tusk.
sheath is sewn and wet formed from a single piece of 0.2" vegetable tanned leather, impregnated by beeswax.
I designed it to provide the best protection to the user and the knife - without compromising the simplicity or function.
stalker is compact, tough and comfortable - and damn good looking
