I'm confused about Camillus blade stampings. As I understand it the current stamping is "Camillus (underlined, over)New York (over) U.S.A.

Is that correct? I'm looking at a very nice little knife with that stamping, but it appears to be at least 20 years old. My books seem to give conflicting information about dating a Camillus using the stampings.

I'm sure someone on this forum can help me out and I thank them in advance,
Steven

Steven,
Thank you for your email detailing the Camillus #91 4 Blade Congress knife. I inspected the listing on ebay showing this knife and I believe that it was manufactured between 1967 and 1987. Two of the blades have a Camillus stamping because we use the same blade(s) for both ends. The model #91 was discontinued in 1988.

Thank you Tom. Was bone still used for handles, or do you think these are stag or celluloid?

The handles on this model would be made from Delrin, which is a DuPont product.
