SOLD
“Standard Bowie” Forged from 5160, differentially heat treated, convex edge, sharp clip, a serious Bowie. Overall length is 15”, blade is 10” long x 2” wide, and 5/16” thick at the ricasso. Guard is browned steel, handle is Missouri Black Walnut. Tang is wide & thick, runs to within 1/4” of handle butt. I dislike the little skinny stick tangs on a big knife, the tangs on my “hidden” tang styles is substantial.

Finish is “Scotchbrite” belt finish, which holds up very well under use and is easy to clean up. Handle is finished to 400 grit for a “non” glare, but smooth look.

Its time to get out in the woods for alot of us, and there is nothing quite like having a Bowie knife on your side when you do so. Feel free to contact me with questions or for further info. Price is $495 + shipping, will come in a padded soft case, no sheath, payment by USPS m/o or paypal.
Thanks, Matt

thanks fellas, im thinking about "texturing" the handle if I can find the time this week!

That's one of the most awesome knives that I've seen in a long time!!!! Charlie Edmondson told me you made real nice knives now I know what he means. I'll have to put you down on my list for future buys.

Is that a lam backed self bow you have it propped up with? Sticks are another love of mine. Great looking Bowie!

thanks guys, i appreciate the kind words. The Bow is an "Osage" fiberglass backed built by Leon Stewart of PA. Im just getting into "traditional" archery, looking forward to some good hunts soon.
