Standing on the shoulders of Giants (which knives your RC's are replacing?)

Hello,

I was not thinking about having a RC-3 (as I have ordered an Izula to EDC it, then I exchange my Rat Skinner with Tony who proposed me one of his RC3...).
And as my good old Nimravus Cub in M2 was in the end of its life, the RC-3 came just in time to replace my strong and sharp EDC fixed blade. The kind I use to open oysters or whittle and hid in my pocket or my EDC bag...
So here are the 2 knives in the same category been used and retired before my RC-3 came home today:

RC-3 (just love it!)
Nimravus Cub M2HS
Sabatier Scout knife

3 generations of abused sharp little ergonomic fixed blades !

So what knife did you put on retirement when your RC knives came ?
On which shoulders are they standing ?

Love the blade shape on that Sabatier Scout Knife!

If I ever get the sheath done my RC3 is going into the rotation. :)

whoa those are well loved blades.....The Ontario RAT-7 was replaced as well as a SRK Carbon V well used and there time had come to be moved along

My Cold Steal Lg Voyager has been replace by a RC3 or 4 or HEST depending on my mood, and my Izula is always on my belt.

I have found that a RC blade can replace most of the knives in my rotation... Now I just need to get my paws on that RC10 (true name TBD) and I'll be golden

Izula has mostly replaced my benchmade Stryker and a well loved gerber ezout

before I got my other rats, I was mostly carrying a buck woodsman and a couple of kabars. Haven't retired those yet, probably never will. For shorter trips, the rc5/6 have been doing ok replacing a hachet I used to carry. An rc ten/ 12 inch machete may eventually fill that role.

the izula and the Hest replaced all of my folders

The RC4 and RC6 replaced my Gerber LMFII

RATs never really "replaced" any of my blades. Just suplimented to them, or added another choice.

IE, The Izula, and other small neckers replaced all my folders. Well except my Vic Farmer which is on me at all times paired with a small fixed blade.

The RC3/4 just adds another choice in the arsenal. Im looking very seriously at the RC6 to fiil a hole in my tool selection.

At the gunshow this week end I'm going to grab an izula to replace my BHK small workhorse as EDC, and possibly a RC4 to add to my woods carry.

My HEST has replaced my Emerson Comander after 8 years of dedicated edc. Great blade but I have been converted to a fixed blade guy. I have also added my RC-4 to my mountain bike gear (carry inverted on the left shoulder strap of my Camelbak Havoc), and am considering an RC-6 for a dedicated outdoor/camp knife, but it will be next year before I can add it.

Also my Izula will work it's way into any place I need a great little workhorse.
