STANLEY Camp Cook Set

I bought one and I'm really digging it. Can't decide whether the cups are worth keeping, the lid fits my stainless metal cups just right. I also like the holes drilled in the top of the lid. I guess to allow pressure to escape while boiling.

My local Target finally started carrying these. I picked one up. For some reason I thought it would be bigger based on pictures I'd seen. It's a good little size for an overnight or hike, probably for two depending on what you're doing. I like the height on this because you can tuck it deeper into coals/fire, so that more surface area of the cookware is exposed to heat. It's also easier to grab out of the fire for me, and less likely to rock side-to-side as with a shallow billy.

Can't decide on these cups. I think I'll ditch them.

Send me a VM. I'll take em as back ups. Will pay shipping.

I didn't think I would like the cups until I brewed up some coffee with the pot. I decided to give the cup a try and I like it.

I keep 2 of these in the both the 4runner and my Dodge as part of the emergency kit. For what I was looking for, these were the best I could find.

My criteria:
Ability to boil water
Insulated cups to protect my kids hands
Packs down small
Inexpensive

These combined with a small esbit stove are perfect for the role of a vehicle emergency kit IMO. Well, along with hit chocolate, coffee, water, oatmeal, ramen, tuna, beans etc

I was surprised by my wife today she got me one for my BD sweet . I never saw this coming she said she was tiered of me looking for pots to use for hot chocolate . I do this outside in the cold and snowing days kids love going out and getting a fire going .

Did anyone else have their green plastic tab on the lid melt? I placed mine on top of a small fire, the way I do with most of my cookware, and came back to find a green blob on top of the lid. I was surprised since I have other lids with plastic parts that have not melted.

I believe I will add a wire bail to it for higher suspension over a fire. Handles don't suit me as well.
