Catch and release for me. Unused by me. Based on the condition, I question whether prior owner ever did either. In great shape. He must have taken it apart as lanyard is not installed. I see no marks on the blade. Minor scuff on clip, and a couple bright spots on clip edge, couldn't catch them in the pics. Likewise, couple very light marks on the second full spline from the butt end on the show side. I wouldn't call them snail trails, only see them holding the knife just right in the light, couldn't catch in pics, very light. Very small light mark on the clip side butt end, see pics. But that is it. Excellent condition overall. Very clean. Centered, no play, solid lock up. Has box (good shape) and the usual stuff as new and WC lanyard. I have not sharpened it, can't be certain of prior owner, but don't think he did either. Edge looks as factory as my CF Inkosi (my only point of reference still new, my other CRKs have mirror edges from halden.
