Starbenza or CF inlay large sebenza?

Micarta is extremely durable and gets grippier when wet. It is a resin + something(paper, cloth, burlap) composite . I believe CRK is cloth. Just like the other inlays it also fills the hand well. Cleans up easily and wears like iron. My small classic MM micarta, the bead finish is almost completely gone, but the micarta is like new.
IMO saying it absorbs oils is a bit misleading( or at least I picture it differently)-yes it will change color with use but it returns to new with just soap and water. It is just a slight bit of exterior fiber that is exposed

If you're going to carry and use the knife, grab the Starbenza. The polished handles and blade on the cf inlay version would be a finger print/smudges magnet that would get on my nerves, I think. LOL

Good luck in your choice!

I agree that if it's going to be a "work" knife, then the Starbenza is the way to go. They look awesome when they get some wear on them.

That said the Large Insingo CF is definitely on my buy list. Just love the look of that thing!

Thanks guys. Gonna have to add a micarta inlay to the stable also. Honestly didnit know much about micarta

I mean, SOMEBODY has to say "neither one."
I have purchased two "plain Jane's" in the last week...the second one is arriving tomorrow.
Titanium-slabbed large Classic Sebenzas...my all-time favorite. But you can't buy a "bad" CRK; they're all like gold.

The micarta inlays are really nice too. If you're going for a one-and-only CRK, I think that's a good choice.

I've got a large Insingo that is back at the factory getting dual studs. It is one of my frequently carried CRKs.

I also have a couple of small Classics and a large Classic.

My micarta inlay 25 is one of the most comfortable knives I own.

I feel like I've got enough (or too many CRKs) and swore off buying more but if you keep posting photos of that Inkosi I might have to acquire one more. I like that a lot.

Thanks man. It's my favorite now.

Took my small sebbie apart and relubed it and its still stiff. Oh well it cuts great and carries nice. No I didnt pinch the washers. Went back together with perfect blade centering and opens a little better than it did. It had no lube so im glad i did a cleaning job on her.
