I've been in conversation, both IM and phone, for a while now with Matthew and he is really getting the Steel Virus Bad !, started with Sebenza, through a Calypso into a BM43 and now a BM940, Blue no less! Plus a few others that I hear he picked up, so he is well on his way to getting a nice collection running and he just found his sharpmaker the other day and has the bare arm to prove it...well I arrived home today and found a nice padded envelope from CRK, I thought? I didn't order anything from them? and it was an order that Matthew place for me as a thankyou of sorts for helping with knife type things and a tube of the CRK flourinated grease, Thanks Matthew! I'm off to lube!!!:D

Ah, you're welcome Gary. Glad it made it to you in time for that special day ;)

As everyone else here already knows, Gary is one of the GOOD! Takes the time to educate a new guy on steel, sharpening, and blade shapes (or maybe I should say indoctrinating the new guy to like Wharncliffes ;))...a little present was the least I could for all of that! Strange to think that a phone call to inquire about a sheath could turn into 4 months of follow-up phone calls, IM and emails...but that's what BFC is all about, good people talking about great knives!

Here's wishing you a happy birthday!

Matthew

P.S. I'll work on that complimentary Mnandi ;) :D :) :p

What a great thread! Starfish, Gary's always been one of the very BEST on these forums and you don't sound too shabby yourself!

I love that Gary highlighted the BM 940. What a really nice piece and ESPECIALLY in blue! Sounds like you have a wonderful collection going on!

Gary, I must have missed it but HAPPY BIRTHDAY bud! What, it's your 60th? 63? ;)
