Starmate

New in box PE Starmates have been pushing $300 on eBay with the CE not far behind. Even the used with no box examples have been fetching around $200. I haven't seen any in a couple of months, but I haven't been watching very closely.
 
If it's this knife it's designed by R. Terzuola and made by Spyderco, one of my faves of all time. Pretty collectible Spyderco, hard to say what it would bring. Most the time something as sought by collectors as a PE Starmate is worth what the people wanting it will pay. They sold for a discounted price of about 100 dollars, 10-11 years ago.

The 3 screw polished clip seems to be more sought after by collectors, as some of the older Militaries used a similar clip and they bring more than the black or 2 screw.

I have one. Mighty nice...i'll probably let my heirs worry about what it's worth, if they decide to part with it.
 
That's a nice knife. Very elegant, sweeping lines in a large, brutal chunk of 440V. Definitely a classic. Joe
 
Starmate - ech.... I recently "lost" one on ebay. It went for only 112$ and I was 2$ back.
 
That's the thing about the bay.
You never know what anything will go for.
I picked up a NIB Ti ATR serrated for 162.50 and a mint collector # Shabaria for 135.50
A NIB SuperHawk for 135.50 the day before.
Then you see the same knives go for way more.
That's just the way a auction goes. But I do think the listings that end on the weekends and evenings tend to go a lot higher than the ones that end through the weekdays.
