It all came together...........finally. I had the spare cash and there was a blue SR-1 in stock, but no longer!!:D I had originally signed up for the initial run, but ended up backing out due to finances/divorce.

I'm really looking forward to this knife and it will be carried, although probably used sparingly..........like the majority of my right front pocket knives. Most of my tasks only require a slipjoint knife, but I love to carry something unique for when I meet the occasional knifeknut.

Just thought I "needed" to spread the good news!!:):)

Its a terrific knife. You will be happy. But by blue do you mean violet? It's more purple then blue.

Awh, it is listed as blue anodizing, but I can hang wiith some violet overtures!

I was reading on the "Lionsteel" forum that the lockbar was stiff. Now I am fine with that and actually end up giving my knives some extra bend to get a lockbar that is unlikely to drift to the left. One poster said this would be a knife that would not require extra bending. My question is; can the lockbar even be bent more to right since it is of monoblock construction?

As I posted in a thread over on the Lion Steel forum, my blue ti SR-1 arrived about an hour ago. Right now the unopened package silently awaits, I'm at my cousins house, my return to the truck, going home, and opening it up. Like I said, the anticipation is delicious, and GROWING!!:)

I don't think you will need to bend the lock bar more. It's firm, but not overly so. It's about as perfect a lock bar as you will find. Plus there is a setting on the (I think its called a roto lock?) that allows you to lock the blade into a fixed position.

WOWEE! And that about sums it up.:D

This is one hunk of a knife. The finish on it is outstanding, and for it's price it should be. The blade is perfectly centered in the handle when closed, and the detent is really firm. The action is really slick, although I did tighten the pivot to my desired level, and the action, though harder, is still smooth throughout the opening arc. Lockup is excellent, and I don't think I would increase the bend of the lockbar, even if I could. Blade grinds are perfect on each side and the edge is like a razor, and will make the hairs snap off as it cuts them. The rounded back on the blade is really nice. I also love the weight as it gives the knife a solid feel.

The handle curves are sensual, and the look is perfect with the grooves. I love how the back of the knife swells and ends with a squared off look, as I like larger rear ends:eek:;), on my knives.

This is a knife I wanted from the first time I saw it. When I found out it was going to be available, in small amounts, at dealers in the US, I just waited until those stars lined up, and they finally did. Indeed, this is a knife well worth the wait.:)

question is yours the titanium version or the aluminum version? i think there is both right?

awesome knife enjoy it! one i wish to own at some point down the road.

JB, this is the titanium model.

Srs, man you know I would love to be able to take pics, and had planned to bite the bullet and get a camera. Then a new AG Russell catalog showed up and, well, you can guess what happened to the camera. .......it turned into a Browning Crowell/Barker Competion cutter, and a 2010 Texas Ranger Comemrative by AG Russell. Guess there's always next month!
