Those look great! Any plans for more mods?

Keep 'em coming!

Thanks buddy!

I planned to skeletonize handle internals as well as personalize external with my fingertip measurements to enhance personalize grip. Follow up with strategic polishing then finish, using flame to high light

Those look really nice! Any chance you made a few extras? :p

Thanks to you, as well!

I am not a gold member! You trying to entice me? To get me banned? JK!!!! :)

Sounds interesting to say the least..I am more than curious on the skeletonizing the grip..Mainly for weight savings I am guessing?
I am looking forward to seeing the end results!

Somewhat of a yes, weight saving is a byproduct. Since I don't have the affinity on the factory's style, using sticky tape for inlays. My main purpose was to enhance permanent grip, with a design emphasising on personal gratification. :)

Tooling from MSC arrived early!

After transferring grip print on handle, measured, mark established center and.......

Next step in snail's rate of progression:

Very happy with the trial fit and machined dimple's sparkling multi facet reflection effects. As expected, machined dimples provide a natural homing effect for the finger tips. Grip confidence is remarkable. :)

Next progression will be, skeletonizing, honeycomb style behind the grip. Strategically, machine square bottom spotface, to avoid warpage as well as maximizing weight removal.

Following with,.........:)

Why not 1 or 2 dimples on the locking bar? Specifically on the bar where it's not going to be covered by the pocket clip.

Interesting mods, it has a bit of a Mayo feel to it. I'll be interested to see the material removal on the inside. That is an idea that has been flown about for a while but as far as I know never actually put into play. The honeycomb will look good I think and really is probably a better choice over an "i-beam" or "cubical/section" pattern.

I chose the lightening method to have the least chance for distortion. But unfortunately, I was in my nonstop zone - mill, finishing, flame anodize and reassembly. So I didn't stop to take pictures.

These are few from last night's afterward, along with Krytox surface residue, but buttery smooth operations:

Morning shots to show brilliance of titanium's refractive nature:

Total package is noticeably lighter - no longer have the hefty butt heavy impression.

Very happy with the ambidextrous grip - dimples provide the auto homing feel for fingertips and hand hold is confidence inspiring. Flame anodized should give me an expected long and enjoyable finish. :)

I do not care to weaken lock bar in any manner, including smooth/mirror finishing/flame ano - to leave it at its own accord to perform.

But thanks for the contributing idea! :)

You can just pop that scale off and snap a few pics anytime you're ready. I would be very interested to see what you did. :)

OK, Gotcha.

Final product looks great, congratulations.

I'm also interested in seeing some inside scale shots...

Thank you for all your comments!!

There...only so much surface area to work, imagination will get you there......

Where would the fun be without a little suspense, right??

Hehehe :)

Why can't you just take a picture ? You took many pictures of the rest of the knife but you won't take pictures of the only bit people want to see  That leads one to presumptins.....
