Yep its a good start so far. I like hengelos suggestion. Maybe make a more gradual curve towards the tip as well.

It's going to be a beast! You still want this harbor freight grinder or did you buy one?

O man. I just now saw this. My grandpa actually have me a harbor freight one and that's what I've used so far.
I do see why you upgraded haha.

And if I remember correctly I owe you some ebony wood.

No you don't owe me anything. I just don't use the 1 x 30 anymore so I was just going to give it to you.
Did you get anymore grinding done?

Yea I got the primary bevel ground. I'm going for a convex edge on this one given how thick it is.

I'll put up some pics tonight. Offer stands tho, if you want some of the ebony wood let me know. I have a bunch that I haven't gotten around to using and it's taking up space that I need. And I got it from my grandpas work shop so it cost me nada

I bought a Harbor freight 1x30 with the grinding wheel on the side for PSA pads and I'm taking it back so I can get the 1x30 with just the belt grinder till I can afford a Pheer grinder. I can tell you to make it easier to use the 1x30 go to Trugrit.com and order the Norton Blaze ceramic belts and it will make your life a whole lot easier. They cut fast especially without speed control so keep a bucket of water with ice to dip your blade in so it doesn't over heat and spraying the belt itself seems to help as well. The belts themselves are made to not overheat your blade but running at 3200+ RPM's will heat up the blade after one or two passes depending on how fast you are pulling your blade across the belt and how much you are leaning into the grind. Good luck and hope this helps.
