Just got started on a pattern I’ve never done. It’s a half-whittler with a clip blade and my razorbeak blade. One knife will have Giraffe and the other will have atlas stag scales. Stainless steel liners, bolsters and ATS-34 blade steel or maybe 440C. I haven’t decided on adding a my arrowhead shield yet.

Let me know what you think.

Really like that single spring set up! I vote for a old style bomb or propellor shield.--KV

I'm not typically in favor of shield but in this case I think your arrowhead would be a discreet signature that would only enhance a pretty wonderful knife. My 2¢ ;)

That is going to look great either way, but I voted for no shield. Keep the pictures coming!

That looks like one heck of a beautiful knife. It's also the most capable looking halfwhitt I've ever seen.:D Thanks for the sneak peek Ed.✌

Relieved the liners today. This is something new I've started doing after poking around the site and noticing some of the newer techniques. I may fool around with pivot bushings as well. We'll see. I'm still more of a traditional knife maker and don't always follow what everybody else is doing.

The extra holes near the pivot pins are where I add solder after I've tinned the liners and bolsters. There are also veins under the bolsters that accept the solder. Impossible to pry these bolster off the liners.
