Well, some of you have seen my other thread regarding design critiques. I started with this design, #3:

Cut this out of 1/4" thick 1084 from Stacy Apelt, Bladsmth:

I decided that I needed to try a more traditional grind, rather than the chisel grind I was planning, so I did a full grind. This is pre-heat treat and still needs to be hand sanded. I am really proud of my plunge lines lining up, and especially my distal taper.

I am really satisfied so far, even though the blade isn't as wide as the original design. The full grind was a bit difficult to get right, I ended up taking the edge too thin and had to grind it back just a bit. I haven't found my handle materials yet, but I'm going to use 1/4" aluminum pins, unless I can find some brass/copper rod of the same diameter. I'm trying o find a pallet that I can pick up to use the oak slats for my handles, I just haven't had the room in my car for a full-size one.

Critiques? What do y'all think? I'll keep y'all updated as I get things further along.
