startin' to play with the ECOs

Binder clips rule. I like the big ones. They can turn an AMK Heat Sheet into a tarp, and hold it well enough.

The RAT Cutlery fire kit makes a good addition. A good misch metal rod with a capsule to hold tinder. They are also bringing out some arrowheads, the smallest of which is a good size for frog or fish gigs. I don't have the Tops saw, but the one on my SAK works great.

the TOPS saw is highly effective, but when ya lose it you don't cry becasue it won't break the bank replacing it. i'll probably have an SAK or multitool in the pouch next to it anyways, for a little redundancy, or paring down when necessary (- although i can't imagine when that would be - swimming maybe? naw, everything will go into the water pouch. done.)

the new ECOs are going to include the TOPs magnesium firestarter.

glad to see i am not the only mad man in the woods with his office supplies ready for battle....

im curious....what is a vectorized fast axe...cant find anything on it

it's not out yet, brother - i only have about a hundred of them and then we'll see if there are any more after that.

it is a TOPS Fast Axe that has been shortened to about a 6 inch shank, to save weight, and then we have optional composite handles to put on it.

it'd be really good for folks that need something a little more than a machete in hardwood country, but want to carry something more like the size of a survival knife. i intend to use mine to quarter elk with when i have to travel light ( - light for me anyways).

it has characteristics of the khukris, which i like a lot, but also machetes and tomahawks, with the edge of a good survival knife.

it's a generalist tool, which i like. no "whiz-bang" factor.

it just works.

the short versions will be good for shoulder rigs and combatives. i think i am going to try to make the handles recurved, unless someone wants a straight one. they'll mostly be custom works for the Investors.

i don't want this to sound like a sale thread though.

....my Erica can get you on the Wish List for anything any brother would like from us - then we can give you a heads-up.

thanks for your interest. i'll be posting pictures probably pretty soon.
