One of the advantages of collecting BUsses is that they are all great quality and unlikely to lose much value. Their intrinsic value is high enough that you cannot go too wrong (in my opinion)
I think the only rule is to buy only those knives you love
sometimes buy what you really like
but never buy knives you don't like
RUN AWAY!
RUN AWAY!
The 2 that I think are must have's.
1) SH-1 = the first Busse Combat knife, early 90's
2) SHBM = the first INFI Busse Combat knife, late 90's
Good luck in your quest.
Yes, I must have them . . . too bad you can't find them, ANYWHERE!
Unless you have a few spares you would sell me.
.
I do have a few SH-1's but no SHBM. :grumpy:
Lots of SHSH's & SHBA's as well. :foot:

I am in the process of starting to collect Busse knives. I think they are incredibly well made and a functional work of art. I have procured 4 so far but I am curious as to what other, more seasoned Busse collectors feel are the ultimate Busse knives to have in a collection.
Also, do you recommend buying the new Busses as they are issued or just looking for particular ones on the second hand market. What do you think of other Busse knives such as the Swamp Rat versions? Again, this is for collecting. These knives will remain unused / unsharpened with the exception of 1 or 2 that I may use as functional knives.
Finally, how important is having the original Busse cardboard sheath when buying a knife for a collection?
I appreciate any constructive input.
