In January I will be starting a one year apprenticeship with a friend I met about 6 weeks ago. He has been a custom knifemaker for about 5 years. He trained under Paul LeBatard for 1 year. I have been going to his shop for the past month watching him get ready for a show,which I attended last weekend where I met 4 different custom knife maker and got to hang behind there booth for the show. I was able to meet paul LeBatard,Gary Lunsford of MoSlash knives and several others. In the time I have spent at his shop I was able to watch him make almost 15 knives and the leather sheaths. We also cut and profiled a knife design of my own that starting January we will be working on. Needless to say I cant wait for January to get here. :thumbup: Oh by the way my buddy knives are Jordan handcrafted knives. I will see if I can get a link to his website up.
