Hello, I am new to collecting and I have always loved going through my father's collection of art pocket knives. I want to have my collection a little more different, I want an exotic collection, knives that are not seen everyday. I have bought my first of my collection, a Benchmark Balisong. Since this is a forums for knife collecters/users I was wandering if anyone could tell me other types of exotic knives. Thanks!

Buck 110's are not very exotic, but the custom ones can be! Collect whatever you like, it's your collection, there are lots of options out there!

CRK Ti-lock.
Most knives by Brian Tighe.
Anything with damascus, timascus, and rare inlays.

These are something to look at. As for exotic, different regions/countries have certain knives that are specific to them. You can get a feel for that by looking at spydercos ethnic series. One example would be the finnish puukko.another example would be the khukuri as already posted above in the second picture posted. You also have members of this forum that can make a custom knife with exotic materials in a style of your preference if you wanted to go that way. Pretty much you havea bunch of options and routes you can go. BTW welcome to the forums as i see this is your first post here, stick around and great to have you here. Also if you wanted to look at and read about khukuris, go check out the Himalayan imports subforum. Thats just one i remember off the top of my drowsy head, finals ugh.

Every man should have couble of puukko´s in the house. No matter what theme your collection is:D
So simbly greetings from Finland.

Welcome. Interesting question. When you say "exotic", do you mean exotic materials (rare woods/bone for scales (oosic!)), or exotic super steels, or "native" knives from exotic far-off lands, or exotic "fantasy/sci-fi" type design. etc etc etc?

All that aside, most important thing is to collect what you like. Doesn't matter what it is. 10 dollar Opinels, "Klingon" knives, $2000 customs, ... it doesn't matter. Just collect what you like and enjoy having.
