Starved Rock State Park With The BK14 (Extremely Photo Heavy)

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Murph, Google image Shawnee National Forest, or perhaps Garden of the gods Illinois. Giant City State Park is also nice. There are some pretty places in Illinois.

Absolutely will do, thanks for the leads!

Wow...I'd have to say that those St. Louis canyon shots make me want to go hang out there all day sketching it...amazing shots.

Thanks for sharing

Cool place Dubz. Hope you had a good time and got to unwind a little.

I went camping there earlier this week. You forgot to mention it was not only hot but extremely humid.

Thanks for the pics. I went with little kids so I couldn't see everything there.

It was a nice place. I could have stayed there all day, except for the heat.

Yeah, it was a very needed get away. Been sitting around for way too long. I was thinking about all the walking we did, and it let me know what kind of shape I'm in.

We didn't get a chance to see everything either. We'll cover that next time. Yes, you're right, the humidity was killer.

Hi Warrior -

Very nice pictures! It has been a while since I did any hiking in the Starved Rock park.

You mention Giant City. My family used to have our annual family gathering and one of the shelters in Giant City, as most of my family were located in Makanda and southern areas of Illinois.

Good memories.

Thanks for the awesome pictures. You are making me want to try out one of these Beckers....

best regards -

Thanks. Have been to Giant City State Park a few times. My son used to live in Benton.

Some cool pictures. I like the small canyons with rivers - looks a lot like some of our New England terrain, though I've never been to IL.

Thanks Burke. I have been to Maine a few times. Both times to Kittery. My father in law has a summer home in Vermont, so of course I've been there a few times. Also, the Franconia Notch State Park in New Hampshire was a nice place to visit. We walked the trail a bit at The Basin.

Amazing photos, amazing spaces. Really nice post man, thanks.

cool :)

very nice rock formations and waterfalls...

-19 points for apparent misuse of knife though ;)

Wow. I am going to have to get up there sometime. Were the trails very " touristy" or were they pretty empty?

Around Starved Rock itself, touristy. Further down the road, only saw a few people.

Absolutely beautiful scenery there. Thanks for the awesome pictures.

You're welcome. Thanks for looking. Really looking forward to going back.

NICE!!
I like the greenish light when the sun comes down through the leaves!! (Here I would use the word "canopy" or "foliage" but I don't know how to spell it so just don't allright??)
Anyway cool scenery!!
