Stash Photos - Your very favorite piece

I love these stash threads. I grabbed some good examples from my stash: ironwood, walnut, figured cocobolo, koa, stag, ivory.

I don't know if your insurance company will LET you post - it might be too much temptation......:D

My stash is tiny!!! A chunk of walrus tusk and two matching slabs of mammoth. The color of the walrus tusk looks real dull here, but its a bit better in person. I've been hanging on the the mammoth scales for years and I still think they are gorgeous. Even Don Hanson likes them!! :)

Those scales are trrific Jon! Tad - nice stash indeed - I think I recognize at least one piece of stag. Russ - super-nice Koa!

I can't wait to peek at Don's collection - even a small portion will likely make me go cross-eyed.

Jon, send me those mammoth scales... Please. :)

I've been very busy forging and forgot to take photos.
It want be easy, have to drag it all out for a group shot, but tomorrow for sure.

Don.. if you really want them you got it, but they are going on a knife for me! :) I got them at Blade 6 years ago I think and have just been waiting to see them on something nice. Never seen any ivory like it. You probably have!

Jon, we'll talk :D

Here's a quick shot. Joe (canineforge) stopped by to forge a bit and helped me
drag this out. These are pretty big plastic bins and 8"10" deep. :D

I think this qualifies as a "stash photo". Someday I'll go back to the Adirondacks and get this thing. Until then, its stashed safely away in the forest... and that's all I'm giving you.

Man Don, that little bit you sold me did'nt even dent your stash:eek:One tub of that and I would be set for YEARS!!

I gotta say I love the stashes. There is a lot of amazing stuff in there. Here's some of mine.

Along the top prehistoric, like mammoth tooth, woolly rhino and blue amber, some minerals and fossils like labradorite and ammonite, got some meteorite and dino bone, some blue fossil walrus that goes way deep, and some orange. Some blue mammoth and some pretty cool woods. In the bottom left some handle sub-assemblies of natural materials.

It's great fun to rummage through all this stuff.

I figured you HAD to have a pretty insane stash Mark, and you sure do.
