Nakano - We'll show it at Blade Show as a "Concept model". We'll now more about reaction after speaking with the ELUs at the Show. Also, current cost of manufacturer is too high. The model is more difficult to produce that it appears and we're trying to figure out how to cut costs without cutting quality or performance.

care to elaborate on the problems in production? if it does happen, what do we know about price, materials, and design?

Joe - The knife is very thin and uses a type of linerlock. Thin linerlocks require very close tolerances and don't yield great lock strength. Must be "right" before we can begin.

The cost of production is also too high to be effective. The unit would have to retail for $75+. We feel this is too expensive to have the numbers required to produce. There was also some concern over the weight. Titanium would make it lighter, but more expensive. It also opens up a large "hole" for the "Knock off people" to copy us. They are not concerned with making it "right", only making it look like ours and the cheap easy sell. That would kill the item prematurely. We should know more by summer.
