Does anyone know if knives are still coming out of Newt's shop? I'm still waiting on my pre-paid order from 2001, well over a year and half. Despite repeated efforts, I haven't gotten any response from Newt lately. I sincerely hope all is well with Newt. Just wondering if someone knows what is going on?
Thanks for the help.

I know what you mean. Just keep calling him. Sign on to his forum and post there.

Other than that, there is nothing else you can do at this point.

I check in with the forum and use the phone but to no avail. seriously to date NEWT has promised my orders delivery on 5, count em 5 diff. ocassions and still no order. oh well Im sure newt is doing his best.

Last time I talked to Newt I bought another WOO from him. This was a couple of months ago and at the time the WOO was the only knife he had. Keep calling though...he is a tough cat to get in touch with at times and I imagine he probably has his shop up and running by now.

Is anyone else having troubles getting into the Livesay website? My computer keeps on asking me for a login and a password. I can't even browse! Never had that happen before.

Cheers,
BJB

BJB -- I had the same thing happen to me, on two different computers.

I AM GOING TO TRY AND MAKE THIS AS SIMPLE AS I CAN. I AM UP TO MY ASS IN PRODUCTION PROBLEMS HERE.

AT ONE TIME I BOUGHT 5000 POUNDS OF STEEL AT A TIME, OR 10,000 FEET OF RAW GLASS STOCK, AND NOW I BUY IT AS I NEED IT. I HAVE HUNDREDS IF NOT A FEW THOUSAND KNIFE BLANKS READY TO GRIND THAT ARE IN STOCK, ITS JUST THAT I AM NOT SET UP TO GRIND ALL OF THEM RIGHT NOW. WHEN I GET BACK TO SPEED I WILL TURN OUT MORE BLADES.

I HAVE GONE FROM FIVE EMPLOYEES TO ONE.........ME! I HAVE OR SHOULD SAY HAD A ONE TIME BUSINESS PARTNER IN CALIFORNIA THAT OWNS ME A TON OF MONEY THAT I COULD USE TO HELP BUY SUPPLIES, AND PAY SOME BILLS, AND IF NOTHING ELSE PAY SOME PART TIME HELP. A MAKER OUT OF THE KANSAS CITY, MO. AREA WHOM I MADE KNIVES FOR HIM WITH HIS NAME ON THEM, OWNS ME FOR OVER 600 BLADES. I COULD USE ANY OF THE MONIES FROM THESE PEOPLE TO BUY SUPPLIES, AND FOR THE LEGAL FEES THAT I AM GETTING READY TO INSURE WHEN I FILE CHARGES ON THESE THIEVES LATER THIS YEAR.

I HAVE MY EQUIPMENT OR SHOP BACK AND WILL FILING CHARGES ON THESE PEOPLE RIGHT AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR. THERE IS SOME ITEMS THAT ARE MISSING AND SOME ITEMS THAT ARE DAMAGED THAT WERE TAKEN FROM MY SHOP, BUT I HAVE ABOUT 2/3 OF THE ORIGINAL SHOP UP AN RUNNING AT MY NEW LOCATION. MY PRODUCTION IS ONLY ABOUT 45% OF ONE YEAR AGO, AND I AM STRUGGLING ON THIS END. TED FRIZZEL OVER AT MINERAL MOUNTAIN HATCHET WORKS WAS KIND ENOUGH TO LET ME USE HIS PARKERIZING VATS IN HIS SHOP RECENTLY AT NO CHARGE. MY BIG STAINLESS STEEL VATS ARE MISSING AND I PRESUME SOLD FOR SCARPE METAL....WHO KNOWS? ANYWAY,I CAN'T THANK TED ENOUGH FOR BEING SO VERY GRACIOUS. WHEN I GOT HOME HE HAD PUT ALL KINDS OF FRESH VEGGIES OUT OF HIS AND HIS WIFES GARDEN IN THE BACK OF MY TRUCK. LITTLE THINGS LIKE THAT MEAN A LOT WHEN YOU’RE OWN YOUR BACK KICKING TOO GET UP. I TRULY APPRECIATE WHAT TED DID.

I AM NOT OUT OF BUSINESS, I AM NOT GOING OUT OF BUSINESS, AND I WILL MAKE DAMN SURE THAT EVERY ORDER IS FILLED AND SHIPPED. THE ONLY REASON I WANT FILL AN ORDER IS IF I FALL OVER DEAD OF A HEART ATTACK. THEN THE SALES OF MY EQUIPMENT, AND ANY OLD KNIVES HANGING AROUND MY SHOP SHOULD MORE THAN PAY FOR ANY INVESTMENT ANYONE HAS MADE IN A ORDER TO ME.

FOR ALL THOSE CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE STOOD BY ME IN THIS LAST 12 TO 16 MONTHS OF PURE FRIGGIN HELL I AM GOING TO REMEMBER YOU AND I WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU.

Keep the faith Newt. You've survived more than many a good man would be able to bear. Now let's hope that Mr. Murphy leaves you alone.

Newt and I had an email exchange some time back since I was interested in ordering an RTAK. He explained his circumstances to me. He noted that he would resume RTAK production once he had all of his current customer orders completed. He told me he would log my order into the system and would not require any desposit.

I have one of his RTAK's and am looking forward to another. I understand that he must meet all his prior work promises before he starts on new work.

Newt has been upfront with me and I think it takes some cajones to lay out your personal problems in front of everyone and to hang in against adversity.

All the best Newt. You have never been anything but upfront about the problems that youare going through and I am confident that you will get through this mess. Hang in there.

Newt,

Thanks for the reply. I thought your troubles were in the past, but I know better now. I look forward to the time when you are up and running as you once were. Your blades were meant to cut!

Cheers and good luck,
BJB :D

Newt,
I hope and Pray that all turns in your favor. I love the few knives of yours that I own. I hope to own more once you get on your feet.
Keep the faith and keep fighting the good fight!!
