Great pics jaislandboy! Those pictures make it even worse. I had the funds when I started this thread, unfortunately not anymore. Hopefully they will still be in stock when I have money again...

Hows the factory sheath (zytel)?

Nice pics. The grinds look crisp and clean. I hope someone's got one of these on their table at the show I'm attending tomorrow.

thanks kindred_spirits & jujigatame.
the description on the Knivesplus website calls it an "injection molded ABS sheath" :
http://www.knivesplus.com/bokerknifebk-bo110.html

.... it comes with a large Teklok and mounting hardware....the sheath could be more retentive imho....if the sheathed knife was held upside down by the sheath alone...i would be afraid of the Rampage falling out of the sheath.....i have no idea if this ABS sheath can be "reheated" like kydex and "hand molded" to be more retentive.... other than this criticism the hollow grinds and build quality of the knife is excellent

According to my findings on messerforum net the sheath is the same material as the MPT. Probably Zytel.

A paintstripper or hairblower should help to heaten it up and fixing the retention if you're not comfortable with it.

How does it feel in hand Brian? The fingercoils look very secure i think but how is reverse grip ?

;)

Appreciate the info Mat, will have to find my blowdryer ;)
In hand, the forward grip is very comfy but the knife is probably best for med to large size hands....another observation is that the choil separating the index finger from middle finger (as well as the "quillion" part of the handle) is noticeabley "pointed" like a "ridge" ...not sharp enough to puncture skin but could "abrade" skin if you accidentally brushed you hand against the choil.....no big deal for me...just pointing the handle out to those who prefer "smoother"/more contoured handles.... the same aforementioned choils make edge-in reverse grips (pikal) uncomfortable but reverse edge-out grip is very comfortable; there is jimping on the thumb ramp part of the spine....none on the pommel. Yeah the knife's handle is really too big for small hands (like mine) for
"optimal fit" imho. I'll try to post pix tomorrow....must get sleep... :)

ok Mat, I couldn't sleep so here ya go ;)
here's them "ridges" i was referring to...

Thanks for the updates mate:thumbup:.

It looks like we have about the same handsize small to medium. It looks comfortable and secure outward reverse grip and sabre/hammer grip. Inward reverse grip not so comfy.
I would get a nice leather sheath with it probably from this one; http://www.messerscheiden.de/?Galerie/Einlagen

Damn that knife is a looker... I will probably get me one from the states in the future to save myself some bucks;
overhere they do about 120-130 euro.....

Have a nice Sunday:D

thanks Mat, hope you're having a relaxing weekend.... those Schurz sheaths look great  my glove size is 7-1/2 if that helps :)

Hmm, funny thing you are allowed to carry the Rampage but not the SubCom in Germany, starting April 1st... April Fool???

Hey Jai and Mat, on the sheath, there is kind of a secondary stage on the sheath. Push it in til you hear a second click, and it will be more secure.
Take care guys.
Terry

thanks for the tip Terry ...
yeppers, that secondary click did the trick ... sheath is nice and secure now, just had to shove it in a little further lol :)

Congrats Brian, I love it! Cant wait to get mine, not ordered yet. Enjoy! :)

thanks 224477, i like the "super aggressive" lines on this Rampage ;)
congrats fatheadhill, maybe this crappy pic can "hold you over" until your blade arrives :D
