Good Morning, my friends.
I bought sometime ago a stray brite silver solder.
But i lost the flux.
What i can use to flux with a stay brite silver solder. The original flux is missing.

Thank you
Best wishes.

Alessandro

PS. Sorry about my english

All I've ever used is stay-clean flux with stay brite solder... not sure where you are at but in the US stay clean flux can be bought at a few knifemaking supply places. Try Jantz or USA knifemaker's.

The solders such as stay brite are tin + about 4 % silver and melt about 400 F. To solder silver you must use a flux that is designed for stainless !!! It sould be stated on the label.

The flux they sell with the solder is tinners flux, just a solution of zinc chloride.

You can buy the flux through a jewelers supply or a hobby supply that sells metal craft supplies.
