Steak Knives

I don’t order steak at restaurants. Steak is just too easy to do at home that I can’t see paying the markup for them at restaurants. Never had an issue with their knives when I used to order them though. Do you really find the knives to be inadequate or are they just not fancy enough?

My wife and I now have matching Laconico Keen folders. Hers is purple groove and mine plain gray. We haven't gone out to a steakhouse to use them yet but certainly will on vacay later this year.

The Shiro F3 is for my use alone.

i never have, until last month.
we rarely go out for steaks, but it the wife's b-day and she wanted duck.
there was a new place nearby that had duck, and steak was my choice.
the provided knife was a butter knife with two dull serrations.
I used my edc, gave my wife the backup, and recieved compliments on being prepared, and choice of knife, from the server.
also recommended new hardware to the owners when they asked how our meal was.

I will likely do it again, if the provided knives are merely just adequate

I would love to have six or so Hackman Tapio Wirrkala puukkos for steak knives at home. What a great knife. I now have one.

I always use my knife.
Mainly because I enjoy slicing into a steak with a straight edge. As opposed to shredding into it with a serrated blade.
