Yes, indeed, you cannot carry a knife there in Public but if you're a reporter, you can carry several on an airplane.
Seems to me like they should be locked up! Right?
So in my book "improving" a bad idea for a knife design is bound to give the do gooders even more ammuniton now.
Are you saying there should be no advancements in knife design for fear of upsetting people who don't like knives of any kind to begin with? That's absurd.
If we are to conduct ourselves in light of the fear we have of people that will ban EVERYTHING anyway, appeasing the lion by feeding it meat in the hope that it will never eat you...sooner or later, you will run out of meat and it will eat you.
The focus should be on defending everything, not throwing out sacrificial lambs.
