steel advise please

looking to get two blades a folder an a fix blade,options are,folder comes in D2(60-61) or s30v,,,fix comes in D-2,O1(58-59),aus 8,,,,looking for some advise,i like O1 an tried aus 8,,but never tried D2 or s30v????

They all have potential to be great knife blades my friend. :thumbup:


But remember, heat treatment and edge geometry are just as important as metalugy.


Don't sweat the steel choice, buy a knife from a trusted maker and it will serve you well.



If any of the knives you are considering is a Dozier in D2, go for it! :thumbup: :thumbup:
