Hello,
I have been out of the game for a while and I have lost my suppliers for nickel. I would buy 40 or 50 pounds on a roll at a time and would like to do the same now.
Would anyone here be willing to share their sources for Nickle and 15n20?
I have seen what Admiral and a few others are selling it for and I sure hope to do better.
Thanks
John

Just a note about something you should be aware of, if you use a lot of nickel is that nickel is a commodity and can actually be a fairly volatile market.

Some suppliers downstream from the smelter may have a bit of a buffer to the market but we use thousands of pounds per year and basically buy direct from the smelter and our price changes daily with the market.

You can check the market prices, currently and historically at Kitco: http://www.kitcometals.com/charts/nickel_historical_large.html

For 15n20 get in touch with Kelly Cupples (ocithunter at charter.net) or Aldo Bruno (njsteelbaron at gmail.com). I get my nickel from Admiral Steel. If you've been out of it for a while though, expect to be shocked by nickel sheet prices. Admiral has the best price I've found so far, but it's still about $50/lb right now.

Take care,

Thanks for the info Yes I was shocked by the prices I was paying 8 to 10 a pound back in the late 90's
I tried to email Kelly but the email keeps getting bounced back (I did put the proper symbol in)
