Instead of stressing about which new blade, I would consider what you want it for. Are you planning to carry it daily? What sort of cutting (frequent cardboard or just occasional daily duties)? Going to be fair weather or all-weather? I like folders to be at least stain resistant if not stainless because I frequently cut things in wet/snowy conditions and the knife may go wet for a while before I get a chance to dry it out. Whichever one you choose, I hope you love it.

My PM2 is S30V, and has been pretty good. No experience with the S45VN or Maxamet, but I've had my GB1 in CPM-M4 for 9 years, and its a beast. M4 is a boss steel IMO.

I don't buy multiples of the same model, but I would be HIGHLY tempted to break that rule for a wharncliffe PM2 in CPM-S125V or 15V.

It can be pretty handy to have the exact same knife but in a different blade steel to gain a better idea of what works best for you.

As an example I have PM2s in CruWear, M4, & Rex45. So all pretty nice tool or not very stainless steels but different enough that I can tell them apart.

If I had to pick an all rounder I would go CruWear. If I had to pick a peak steel it would be Rex45. But if I had to pick a sentimental favorite it would be M4.

I vote CPM-M4 which is what is use. My Gayle Bradley #1 does everything I need a knife to do around the shop and house. It is not corrosion resistant but is very easy to keep from corroding with a wipe of Breakfree CLP, a product used back in the day to keep your M16 working properly in a humid environment. Breakfree CLP is available almost anywhere guns or knives are sold and many gun owners have used it successfully.

How much do you want to spend?

How good is a good deal? This sounds like a 'try all three' occasion to me.
