Steel for an hunter

While the cutting ability of a blade depends on the steel and the heat treatment , the shape of the edge is just as important. A good convex shape is what you want . You can use as fine a finish as you like . Do this without a machine .A machine can damage the heat treat because of the heat.
I find a compter "mouse pad " [a foam rubber sheet ] and some wet/dry abrasive paper with water and easy way .Vary downward pressure and angle until you get the edge you want. Use finer and finer abrasive QB ! [ quando bisogna , like a cook book says ! ]
