steel i shouldnt use on a diamond hone?

im getting ready to sharpen a couple knives on some diamond blocks i got and i had read that some steels will clog up the diamonds making the stones useless....

mostly moras here, carbon steel... but also some ATS34 and others...

I do not know any. I use DMT on most knife steels without any problems.

So long as you don't use excessive pressure, you shouldn't have a problem.

If it starts to clog, just briefly scrub with an old tooth brush under running water.

As a general rule softer steels clog and harder steels form dust.

I haven't had any problems with steel. You might have an issue with copper. I wouldn't worry about it.

No steel is harder than diamond so sharpen away! However, softer steels will clog the stone faster so it will require more frequent rinsing to remove the fines.
