Steel in Buck Kalinga?

Anyone know what kind of steel was used in the Buck Kalingas? I've found one with a wooden handle in good shape but the seller does not know what kind of steel the knife has. Thanks for any info.

Micarta was almost certainly 440C, wood could be 440C or 425M. Is there anything to indicate the year of manufacture?
