Steel Pitting

If you don't cuss at steel anymore, I don't know if you can HANDLE this stuff! :p :D (joke)

PM me your snail addy, Dan. I don't need any compensation for the postage. I have enough it would be my pleasure to share a bit with you. Consider it "good things happen to those who show kindness" for the efforts you went to for the community here with the 5160. I think it's 3/16 x 1.25"

It's supposed to cool a bit later this week, so I'll be able to get out. I'll USPS Priority it if they deliver to Maine. ;)

Don't bother to thank me now, because later you will regret lying when you find out what this stuff's like to finish. I know I'm older and gone downhill, but I still don't think it's just me. :D

Mike,
Try the new CPM 154CM. Talk about a nice finish.
Also, the regular 154CM that I've used is nothing like the old stuff. I remember those days well. Talk about pits and voids. Glad they fixed it.

Thanks for the recommendation, Kit. I might just get me a piece soon, especially if it comes in thin stock (3/32 when finished).

I'm riding a wave of prednisone-induced "wellbeing" that might last a month or a little more, and I'd love to get a knife or two made if I can. :D This first week will be used up clearing trash out sufficiently to see if the machines are still there!

Does this follow 154CM HT recipe? I'd think there may be some slight differences???

PM sent Mike and TX again

I would think the HT on the cpm154 would be just about the same..
as the 154CM
it's made of 154 power right??
