Thanks for all the great replies guys. With all those great shoes to look into, how will I ever be able to save up enough money for another knife?
With so many tempting choices, I think I'm going to hit the local stores to try some of them on. I'll let you know what I decide on / find out.
I hear where Blue Jays is coming from, and what he says makes a lot of sense. I want to stress again that my intent is not to stomp my customer's heads into the ground with my new steel toed footwear. I assume most of us carry some sort of blade around on a regular basis. I doubt many of us have had to actually use those knives against anybody, even if we've been carrying them around everyday for years. Nevertheless, it's nice to have them along, not only for their utility, but because they do provide some measure of protection and security.
Yes, I have a very good relationship with the local police. In fact, they work some events at our facility, and even drop by to visit.
I have had a security guard totally chicken out on me during an altercation with a drunk. Not only did the guard fail to deal with the drunk at all, he refused to even write a report he was so scared. God's honest truth.
Unfortunately, none of us are clairvoyant. Nobody can look into a crystal ball and see what trouble awaits us today. So, hey. If I can get a comfortable pair of shoes that look good, feel good, last a long time, don't carry the social stigma of carrying a knife or a pistol, and can help protect me from bodily harm, then why not go for it?
