There does not appear to be a direct AMS alloy equivalent.
According to this page:
http://www.splav.kharkov.com/analog/materialDataBase.pdf
"X 46 Cr13" is equivalent to 1.4034, the composition of which is somewhat easier to find.

Composition of 1.4034 is
Carbon - 0.45%
Cr -- 13.5%
Mo -- 0.6%
This would make it pretty close to 420HS. edit, OOPS that should be 420HC.

thanks for your help. the knife is a aitor jungle king 1 made nearly 15 years ago. i bought it from a collector, it is still unused nib. thanks again searlock
