Steeling chisel ground edges

I just picked up a relatively expensive chisel ground edge knife.... that I expect to be using often. I "steel" my users with some frequency and often use a leather strop or a rotating leather wheel ... while I think I know how to resharpen these babies (edgepro apex).... not sure how steeling/stropping is different.... I am just assuming that it is... found plenty of sharpening refs but few on this subject and appreciate your input.

Knice knife! Congrats! What blade steel did DD use on that Santoku?

Not sure on the blade steel. I'll post it when I get it.

Any advice on the steeling/stropping?

My advice would be to call the Strider guys and get it from the horse's mouth so to speak. That's about the best advice I can give.
