I see only one steel which was hard to sharpen - CPM S90V, because it has Vanadiun Crbides which are harder then ceramic (Aluminium Oxides) so I have to swithch to Silicon Carbides and Diamond sharpening. Otherwise itis more difficult to sharpen soft steel because of the burr.
There is conspiracy theory that manufacturers once experienced CPM 440V (S60) which wear out their equipment very fast now switch to CPM S30V (instead of CPM S90V which suppose to get 440V place according to graph) simple because it is too hard to manufacture usinfg existed equipment.
This is why MIM looks attractive - wear resistance of the steel not an issue for manufacturer anymore.
