I'm after a 3.5" - 4" fixed blade hunting/skinning knife.
I really like the profile and details of the Steep Country.
I've read a few posts about the rubber handle holding water thus promoting rust.
Has anyone had issues with this at all? If the knife did start to rust bad where the handle meets the tang would I need to worry in my lifetime of using it? Would there be a risk of the blade snapping anytime soon?
If you guys have any other recommendations for a similar knife I'm all ears. I really like the extended jimping near the tip. I'm after a blade profile pretty well spott on to the Steep Country or Chris Reeve Nyala etc.
I considered the saddle mountain skinner but I'm not 100% on the blade profile.
