Gentlemen:

Well, I just dropped $1400 on a Jet air filtration system for my shop - time to move a knife at bargain basement prices. As Steven Waugh said: "Hesitate and you are in trouble."

TK

For your consideration is this Subhilt Hog Knife in 1095/Desert Ironwood Burl. This bowie has a sharpened swedge - full tang construction. The 1 3/4” blade is full flat ground with a hair popping convex edge……the convex edge is zero ground and buffed to nine micron. The sides of the straight subhilt are sculptured for comfort - the coke bottled handle will melt into your hand. :D The bottom of the ricasso is sized and beveled to comfortably choke up on the blade safely. The blade is finished to 400 grit pull strokes for easy maintenance. Superb fit and finish. I hope you like it! The first “I’ll take it,” PM, or email gets it. $535 $375 delivered CONUS. Paypal preferred to tksteingass@frontier.com. Maker’s lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening. Thanks for viewing my work and comments are welcomed.

V/R,

TK

Thank god this sold. I'd have been contemplating buying it for hours before breaking down. Beautiful work!

I do agree. $375 sounds like a deposit but when you need some dough in a hurry you do what you got to.

Hope your enjoying those new digs in Maine.

That workhorse of a knife reminded me of one of the Black Jack models from years ago, outstanding Mr. Steingass. Can we nudge you into buying something else for the shop to provoke another fire sale? Great deal for a great knife!

Glad you like the knife - it really hurt to let that $750 knife go for $375.......BTW, in the Jan/Feb 2014 Knives Illustrated article about me, Les Robertson wrote that I charge $750 for a knife other makers are charging $1100 - $1400 for. So, let's just say Bowies like this will go for $750 only after they're ordered:D
