Gentlemen:

For your consideration is my full tang- subhilt Battle Bowie in Desert Ironwood Burl and W-2. The blade was full flat ground to .025" with 20 degree secondary bevels for a hair popping edge. Hand rubbed to 2000 grit and lightly etched to reveal a vivid hamon. There's just a bit of a recurve to this one for sleeknees and I'm real happy with how this one turned out. I haven't made the sheath yet so you may specify right or left. The first "I'll take it" gets it. I hope you like it! $575 delivered Paypal preferred to tksteingass@frontier.com or USPS money orders please. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.

.250" Aldo's W-2
Clay Quenched Parks 50

OMG, I should NEVER have even looked at the picture. its a good thing my wife keeps reminding me we're building a house, not a collection.

I must give you a great big .

Thanks very much for the words of encouragement :)

TK, that is one ridiculously nice knife. If I wasn't committed to buying the couple customs I have on order I would snap that up. Hopefully you'll keep making similar blades. Cheers.

It has all been said but I still have to comment,a real beauty there TK.
I like the way the Ironwood grain flows through the sub-hilt,excellent work.

I'm not surprized this sold for the price you have on it. It's a buyers market for sure. The shape on the handle is super. Great design and build TK.

Thanks Alan! Buyer's market for sure - I see Bowies of this caliber selling for $1300.

Like everything else it's a buyers market right now. I recently bought a very nice Parker shotgun for half of what it would have cost 4 years ago. The nice stuff and collector quality sells steadily but user grade and knives of unknown makers are well below "asking" . In my business I always said I'd rather see 100 clients at $5.00 than 10 at $30. Good economic times are always followed by down turns and folks remember your little kindnesses, reasonable prices and fair dealing when money is tight. My $0.02. Didn't mean to hijack TK's thread.
