Gentlemen:

For your consideration is this Keesler inspired Brute de Forge Camp Knife/Chopper/Fighter (It'll serve you well as all three). Hand forged from 5160 and belt finished to 250 grit. The convex ground edge is tough and will cut like the winter wind - I chopped two weathered 2 x 4's completely through with NO edge deformation and could still shave hair with it......I guarantee you'll find it to be one of your best performing knives. The area under the ricasso serves as a blade choke up point - very comfortable with extended thumb serrations to give you purchase in both hand positions. The clip is nearly sharp for scraping - I can sharpen it at the buyer's request. No sheath yet, but I recommend a Southern style sheath with a stud will suit this 9" blade for carry slid under your belt - I don't do Frogs by the way......hate making them. :thumbdn: I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it," PM, or email gets it. $375 delivered CONUS. Paypal preferred to my account tksteingass@frontier.com. wMaker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening. Thanks for viewing my work and your comments are welcome.

V/R,

That's an awesome blade, TK! BTW, what's a frog? Not familiar with that term

I'm not good at explaining it, but basically it's a metal thing that sticks out on a sheath to prevent it from sliding down when carried iwb or shoved through a belt. Google "sheath frog" to see examples.

The "Frog" is the hanger that fits on the belt. The frog hold the sheath in place by holding the "Stud" on the sheath in place. "Southern carry" is a term that came about when Southern men carried large knives stuck in their belts held in place by a stud with no frog to hold the sheath. Most European bayonets/sheaths of the late 19th and 20th century were carried by frogs except for those of the US after the turn of the 19th century. Swiss bayonets are sold surplus today with or without the frog.
