Gentlemen:

For your consideration is this Camp Master in 1075/Spalted Hackberry. I built this knife for the guy that wants a REALLY meaty camp knife - the blade is .320" thick at the ricasso - as such, it seemed fitting to put a convex edge on this model. This is really a miniature wedge built for the heaviest of camp duties and bushcraft.....this is not a slicer or a deer skinner. :D Understandably, the knife is forward heavy - neutral balance is at the middle of the ricasso. The blade was hand rubbed to 2000 grit and etched to reveal a vivid hamon with lots of nice ashi. Superb fit and finish. I hope you like it! Yes, beefy for sure, but the taper on the tang is about the most radical & well done I've seen, I bet the balance of this knife is just perfect. These Steingass knives are simply on a different level...I always look forward to checking these blades out, & the pics are always so well taken & presented as well.
