Gentlemen:

For your consideration in my interpretation of the Nessmuk skinner. The sharpest part of a knife is the curve- while the cutting edge of the original Nessmuk is one continuous curve, I put a small recurve for looks into the cutting edge - since it's still a curve it will perform as well as the original in my opinion. The blade is deeply hollow ground with steep 20 degree bevels for excellent slicing - the handle ergonomics are superb on this design - you'll find it very secure and comfortable. The picture doesn't do justice to the intense figure in this stabilized Koa - very tight. Truoil was worked into the handle with 600 grit then buffed. The blade was hollow ground to 400 grit and finished with an ultrafine scotchbrite belt. I haven't made the sheath yet so the buyer can specify right or left, black or brown. I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it", PM, or email gets it. $275 plus $16 shipping. Paypal payment preferred to my account tksteingass@frontier.com. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free shipping. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my work. :)

I'll take it.

Ben: Great knife for your upcoming African safari - particularly for larger game. Since you already have over a dozen of my knives, I'll make you a RH sheath.:D

This knife is SOLD.

Like I said TK.
Minutes and they're gone. Great piece,
I can certainly appreciate you sticking to your interpretations.True artists always do.

A buddy brought over some 3 /16 O1 by 2"x 2 meters. We're off for pizza. Then I fire the grinder. This time the 15x3 wheel x 120 inch 40 grit ceramic belt-----losing her virginity.... and hopefully not exploding and ripping my head off.
Flat grinds are like flat girlz. Ya need a touch of contour........nada mas.
My 15" contact wheel covers that "problem". No worry. I only sell in Costa Rica. Just bought a 30 plus diameter 50 year old log ( not a trunk----just a huge branch and crotch) of Cocobolo.

I've seen some guys post insane platens---air cooled---etc. I highly recommend taking a shot at it. Fun stuff.
Screwing around creating a groove with a 10 inch tire-bollacheet ?
Imitate a 60 inch wheel, with your platen----or wheel--- and put the whole damn stick in "the groove".Fast, nice, perfect.
