Gentlemen:
For your consideration is this presentation grade Mountain King in 1095/stabilized Koa. The hollow ground blade, distal taper and tapered tang make this a very light knife to carry - convenient at the waist with its horizontal sheath. The blade was hand rubbed to 1200 grit and etched to reveal a vivid hamon. The Koa was hand rubbed to 2500 grit and waxed to reveal the color and figure - no buffer hit this wood! The blade was edge quenched and left untempered - I tested it and it's just around Rc 66 so it will hold an edge for quite awhile - I don't recommend this treatment on a bushcraft knife but on a finesse knife for cutting tissue, it's the ticket. The spine is rounded to the tip with thumb checkering just forward of the guard. The solder joint is true with no pinholes - superb fit and finish.
I hope you like it! The first "I'll take it," PM, or email gets it. $425 delivered CONUS. Paypal preferred to tksteingass@frontier.com. Thanks for viewing and your comments are appreciated.
