Gentlemen:
This Loveless inspired hunter is built for severe duty. The classic Loveless is hollow ground thinly from 3/16" stainless stock.....excellent at slicing connective tissue and dressing game but one would not want to baton with it. This version is flat ground from 1/4" W-2 tool steel with robust 25 degree bevels to withstand the shock seen during bushcraft use. This knife is NOT light in the hand and has heft to it.....I also machined aggressive thumb grooves for the spine. The blade was flat ground to .030" then 25 degree bevels applied - the blade was hand rubbed to 2000 grit and etched to reveal a vivid hamon. The scales are black and white ebony in a rare chain-link figure that I spent too much money on.
I haven't made the sheath yet so the buyer may specify right or left black or brown. I hope you like it! The first "i'll take it" gets it. $325 plus $10 shipping. Paypal preferred to my account tksteingass@frontier.com. Maker's lifetime common sense warranty and free sharpening.
Well, after a couple days a crack developed in the scales - it was repaired with super glue and sanded out and it won't ever go anywhere. You may not even be able to see it but, I know it's there so I'm going to knock $110 off this knife. I usually sell this grade of knife as Presentation Grade at $350 plus shipping. Someone's going to get a heck of a deal here. $225 delivered
