Steingass Shark Fin Bowie **SOLD**

Gentlemen:

For your consideration is this Shark Fin Bowie in Exhibition Grade Claro Walnut/W-2. This is a light and fast bowie - the swedge was hollow ground with a 3" wheel and the major grinds were hollow ground with a large diameter platen. The spine and ricasso are rounded - the swedge is sharpened. The wood is exceptional - K&G stabilized Claro Walnut with crotch flame figure that starts at the ricasso and follows the lines of the handle to the butt. The wood was hand sanded to 2500 grit and waxed to enhance the figure. The tang extends 2/3 of the way into the handle and is set with g/Flex marine grade epoxy and a 1/16" stainless pin. The blade was sanded to 1200 grit and etched to reveal a vivid hamon.
